    Thank you for this post !!! I need a few new 'butcher-type' aprons ... and couldn't believe just how much one costs! I have basic sewing skills and a machine. This forum was the very first place that I came to search on 'how-to-make an apron'. The few links that I already tried still work, too. There are many easy-to-follow instructions and even directions for making aprons out of towels, too. I might even make a few for holiday gifts ... to go with my already purchased cupcake baking/lidded-carrier sets I bought on clearance for $3.00 each back in August.

    I have one when going to berlin once this was the old days when the eighties thing we young ladies accordding to mom wore a skirt to the city and before going to bed wear an aprons in kitchens uhhhh forget that I threw a towel in the waist ban in the skirt and cooked one heck of a dinner for mom and oma (grandmother) and now its jeans for get the fancy stuff but I wear only those type aprons you use for cooks in the resturonts just grease is hard to get out of my sweat pants
