Welcome, MomK!  We have some things in common!  I also live in Arkansas.  I teach 7th, 8th, and 10th gr. English and reading.  I love my seventh graders!  I have some of the same ones twice a day.  They are very much like your middle school students (only in bigger bodies).  Also, two of my kids are 14 and 9.  However, the fourteen year old is a boy, and the nine year old is a girl.  (I also have three other DKs: 20, 17(almost), and 6). I know you'll like it here.
