Right now it looks as though Sunshinetreva and I will be in part of the path of Tropical Storm Cristobal.

I have not talked to her, but I think that I can speak for her on this subject.

Could you please add us to your prayers?  She and I can handle some rain, but not much more.

I live where Hurricane Isabel hit in 2003. I was 14 days without electricity and running water after Isabel. FYI: Isabel was the worst hurricane in history before Hurricane Katrina.

I will be going over to Newport News to stock up on what I call hurricane supplies Sunday morning. That includes crackers, bottled water, chips, etc. Yes.....batteries for my flashlights are on my list.

I ordered 4 of those no battery needed flashlights through Belk Dept. Store. Naturally.........they have not been delivered. You just shake them to activate the light.

Flashlights---I believe if you have a Walgreens near you, they have wind-up flashlights.  You wind it up for about 60 seconds, and have about 30 minutes of light.  It's pretty good, and I've used mine a quite a bit when we have tornado warnings, heavy rains, etc.

May you safely pass through this.

Father, In Jesus' name I ask that you put a hedge of protection around all of our frugal friends in the areas where this storm goes. Guide them and comfort them with their peace.

Dear Virginians, I must say that I checked with an aUnt & a friend who live in Virginia & they are blessed by being outside of the apparent path of the storm.

As for you in the eye of the storm, I pray that you escape injury bodily or in psyche, & have minimal property damage, from this storm.  I pray especially for Sunshinetreva & Virginia Needlewoman, but also for all on the Forum exposed, whom I cannot name.
