    Don't forget to check out meetup.com for local singles groups.  Also google your city and "singles groups".  Also check the larger church websites.

    I'm single by location, but I am in a committed relationship...he just lives 4000 miles away! I used match.com and eharmony.com with no luck.  I ended up finding my SO right were my grandma always said I'd never find a good man, at the bar...lmao!  And my grandma loves him to death and shakes her finger at us everytime we mention that we met at the bar.  It was a good thing I decided to go out that night, I rarley go to the bar and neither does he.

    Its free technically but you are limited on what you can do (such as not seeing extra pictures unless you pay). There is an IM in there. Cost is cheap from what I could tell for a dating site... ~$9.95/mo.

    $9.95 That is cheap for a dating web site.  I joined eharmony last year and it was quite a bit more expensive then that and although the service was very good I did not find anyone whom I would be interested in dating or a further relationship with.
