    Tracy, (latenighter)

Things will work out... maybe the lake will change their minds. (If so, I'll find a way to visit!! Wink ) Oh, and stop sending severe storms!! Stick out tongue

Been doing nothing really today... spending time online (here) and talking with a couple girlfriends on the phone. My right hip is sore from driving 1/2 hr yesterday (lunch was great!) ...

I guess I have to be patient and see what happens-

Sorry about the storms, but we do need the rain!  Hasn't it greened up nicely in the past two weeks?  Notied lately the storms seem to intensify over us, hotter metro maybe, then die off, and start firing back up when they hit a little further in WI.

    Re: 7.19 & 7.20 Weekend Stretching

Dear All, Not a great 3-day weekend for me.  I'm so depressed that I feel exactly as though I have the flu.  I'm staying out of bed only for 4 hours in the morning, then heading back to bed.  I ahve an emergency visit scheduled with my personal physician for Tues AM, & then will see him again for my regular visit on Thurs (plus the nurse-injection visit on Fri).

I read the complete Torah portion and notes in both of my Hebrew Scriptures books yesterday, so while I didn't go to synagogue, at least had the benefit of the readings.  I forgot to erad the portion from the Prophets so will do that today (I told you that I'm feeling sub-par!).  I'm also reading a book by a famous Rabbi, Joseph Telushkin, called BIBICAL LITERACY.  It's the 1st in a trilogy that I own (JEWISH LITERACY & JEWISH WISDOM follow), & in reading in bed this 3-day weekend, may get a lot of it read.  But mostly, I want to sleep.

Yesterday, I took a walk but did not do my calisthenics.  Today, I plan to do it the other way 'round.

I have 2 pieces of correspodnence that I must get done, but will have to ramp up to:  (1) my Food Stamps medical report for June (I have already made the photocopies), & (2) writing an $18 charity check (it's for a camp for children with life-threatening illnesses, partially planned to give the parents respite.).

I went to see Mom last night and she was in an even worse mood than I had expected to see her in. Nothing I did was right. I wish the new medicine would turn her into a sweet person again !!! I have to literally walk on eggshells around her now.

I was trying to calm down and I ended up having dinner at the Thai place, which turned out to be cheaper than my lunch on Wednesday. My meal was delicious and the service was very good.

I talked to my aunt this morning and she said having supper out was probably good for me as Mom is so difficult because of her illnesses. My aunt said that I deserved a break or a treat because of everything in my life dealing with Mom.

Today I will be spending more money than I'd planned, but it is for a very good reason. We have Tropical Storm Cristobal approaching Virginia and there is a possibility of losing electrical power. I'll be buying batteries, bottled water, and what I call Hurrican Survival Food. Actually this week Harris Teeter put 24 bottles of bottled water on sale bogo.

Aurora has forgiven me for the shot that Dr. Sam gave her on Friday !

    Today:

    •  didn't go to church since I am very dizzy and disorientated (called the nurse and will be talking with my rheumetology doc on Monday)... all due to this new medication that I am taking daily
    • appetite is not an issue though today (eating healthy though)... all foods from in house (pantry/frig/freezer)

Deb, things will get better... everyday is a new day!Smile

Tracy, nice simple showers are good... not the downpours that have been happening. I think that is what happened last night, I didn't even hear it but the ground was wet waking up.

Happy Late Birthday Mary W!!! CakeParty!!!
