Thank God it's Friday!!! I can't say that enough today.

Had to stop and get gas on the way to work. Lunch was leftovers (as usual) and dinner will be French Bread Pizza (one of my favorite Friday night meals b/c it's a fun treat but it's cheap and FAST). I'll have to stop at the store on the way home but just for french bread (I always keep pizza sauce, cheese & pepperoni on hand). Tonight I will wash a batch or 2 of clothes and hang to dry.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Aside from meeting some family for lunch tomorrow, I plan to stick around the house. I'm a real homebody anyways but lately (due to being pregnant/tired and due to the extreme humid summer in Louisiana) I especially prefer staying home on the weekends. It's amazing how much easier my work week is when I use the weekend to do things around the house. Not to mention that I need all the rest I can get lately.

    God bless,

    Julie

Superman called.   He had a flat tire on the way home from work.

    So much for stretching.

    Hey Ya'll

It has NOT been a stretchy day here.  Today is payday.  So, I've been to 4 different grocery stores, the post office to mail something,  DS#2 needed a new pair of shoes and the Freshman Reading List came out this week for school and he needed a book because he has an assignment due at orientation.  I had to fill up my truck, took $70, should last me for 2 weeks.  I still need to pay a few bills online. I have done nothing all day but RUN THE ROAD and I'm just about give out.  And I still have to do some cleaning in the house because DS#1 is having some friends over tomorrow evening to watch a movie.  Just might have to wait until tomorrow to do any cleaning.

Breakfast was from home today.  DS#1 and DH took their lunch to work.  DS#2 and I had $1.00 cheeseburgers and fries from McD's.  Supper is going to be a pizza from the local Papa Johns.  This will be the first time we've ordered pizza in a MONTH.  And I'm just too tired and hot to even think about cooking anything. So if they want to eat it will be pizza cause I'm not cooking. LOL.

I did not have a happy shoping expereince at any of the grocery stores I went too.  Prices have gone up on so many things that I had to postpone purchasing some of the things on my list because of the price.  Just can't worry too much about it, just do what we can and let the L'rd handle the rest.

Looking forward to a nice, relaxing weekend at HOME.  Not planning on going anywhere tomrrow and the only place I plan on going on Sunday will be church.

DH took his meal to work as usual and I opened a can of chili.  Later I will cut up some leftover chicken (part of a breast and a thigh) to make chicken salad.  Late meal will be tacos.

Store trip yesterday left me with a migraine last night so I hiberated.  I needed to go to the bank today but I didn't make it.  I will go there in the morning on the scooter after I go watch the start of the bicycle race.  It's an annual event here called the "Tour de Paris" and gets bigger every year.  This yeat 700 riders are expected.  Starting line is about 6 blocks from my house.

I have towels and bath rugs in the washer that I need to hang out.  Then I'll put in a load of my clothes.  I also need to do the dishes in the sink.

Now--a fudge bar and the a/c bedroom for me!

    re-tired

It's late but I just wanted to post - worked two jobs - 8 hours each - today. Very sore and tired but happy. Still need to get one of the jobs to pay up what they owe me extra for the last four weeks but just hate to have to force the issue. I get paid for most of what is owed just that they personally are supposed to pay a certain amount and haven't been doing that. Sounds silly but it's hard when you work for a family and not a business...things are just taken personally when they really are just business - I'll take care of it tomorrow night. ( I really will! argh)

My car is fixed, and we had enough in savings to pay for it in cash. Weekends are always a challenge for us but we are really focused on getting where we want to go financially so we will stay out of stores, and will keep eating food in the pantry Smile

    peace.
