How are you stretching today?

• Ran out to Walmart: 1Gal pitcher (made sun tea yesterday and the glass jar isn't handy), 1 ice cube tray (not sure where my other one is; will make cubes and freeze in ziploc save $, it's just for the tea), a James Bond movie (found for $4; my only favorite one), and some baking soda, granola bars, and my tropical dried fruit mix. Now...
  
• Staying indoors again. I figured out it's the mold outside (in high counts) that is bothering me.
  
• Napping will be on the agenda... (if you can see the post time). I did sleep ok though from 8pm on til 2:30a.
  
• Eating food in house: simple foods that don't require the oven.
• Will do another load of laundry (cold/hang). 

No stretching for me today. I get to pay two vehicle payments totalling $750. But it is with almost $100 onto the principles. One bank told us our payment is only $150. They are getting $250 anyway lol. While it makes me nauseous to make these payments, it will feel good when both are paid off over a year early!

It's still early for me here and I'm debating on if I should go to work today.  I'm kinda in a slump right now and I wonder if a day away won't help.  Of course, the other part of me, the responsible work-all-the-time part, says I should go and just get it over with since it'll still be there tomorrow facing me.  Whether or not I go it'll be a stretchy day here.  Gas out would be for a commute and brief trip to lawyers office to sign papers.  All food from home.  DD is at home today and back to my mom's tomorrow.  Need to check online to see if my insurance payment was withdrawn and get it recorded into my budget sheet.

I just realized how I have well over 3 weeks of vacay on the books (plus a saved up 1 week of sick, which I always keep in case my DD gets sick; used to have more, but I had surgery in December and ate up 7 days of it).  So maybe I do need a break if I accumulated that much time.  I'll let you know later today what my decision was/is.

A stretchy day for me and possibly with money too. The small of my back is currently telling me that it's not too happy about my sitting on the floor of the bedroom with the heat gun pulling up first tiles then tar paper for 4 hours yesterday. Unforntunately I was only able to clean up a 12 sq ft area (out of 270 sqft) so I've got more to do over the next couple weeks. Today I'm going to be finishing the closet door and pulling out the dresser to work on the floor behind there (32 sqft).

Ds#2 is making burritos for supper using ground turkey instead of gb, pan sausage, bacon, sour cream and cheese (and if you listen very quietly you might hear a cardioligst starting his sat fat lecture). Last night he asked dh to stop @ the dollar store on the way home and grab some tortilla shells for him, the dollar store is 4 blocks from home so I told him after school he can walk there and get them himself. 

I am getting my hair done today (monthly color & cut). I am going to drive over to Williamsburg and purchase a new watch at the Seiko outlet to replace the watch that broke yesterday. I have to buy a payment card for my cell phone today.

I normally do not make several large purchases in one day, but the watch is a necessity.

I may even take myself out for a meal.

I have had nothing but bad news about Mom all week and until they put her on a new medicine I will continue to hear how her anger issues are. Believe me it is not fun or easy on my nerves to hear how Mom is because of the dementia problems in addition to the diabetic problems and the aftermath of the heart attack and stroke.

I am not having a pity party. I am just having a rough time. It will be another week before Verizon repairs the lines that cause the static on my phone. The only nice thing about the phone not working is that I don't have to hear those political survey phone calls.

Most of the time I eat my meals at home. I live a frugal life so that I can have a good time when I want to.

morning all,

 i am doing the "sleepwalking" act today, bailey, our service dog started barking around 2 am this morning, our neighbors cat (who thinks he lives here,lol) was in our sunporch and baily heard him, and that was all she wrote,lol

ds is at camp today,they are going swimming and rafting today, it is such a great camp!

 dh has a dr. appt this afternoon, so only$ going out is for gas

cleaned up the house today, and dh is getting ready to hang out a load of clothes washed in cold water.

dinner will be homemade soup, cornbread and banana snack cake for dh and ds

We had a round of storms move through last night and it dumped 2 inches of rain here. Best news? Our basement didn't leak one little bit! Yea! We still are going to install an extra downspout and gutter but the cover for the egress window and dirt work around the foundation seems to have really helped. Of course, it has been dry here so maybe the ground just absorbed all the rain. But I'm happy about no water on the floor!

I work 1/2 day today. I have to run to the bank at noon b/c I want to visit with a real person--not a touch-tone phone option, LOL. But it's on my way home so no extra driving. DH is working on dinner in the crock pot today. Either roast beef or chicken tacos. We have ingredients for both so I said "suprise me!"

Sunny here today but humid. I will try and get a load of wash out on the line. DH worked in the garage yesterday and got a garbage can full of garbage, 2 boxes for a family garage sale and then six boxes packed for our move. Yea! I hope to work in the basement closets purging today.

DS has swimming lessons tonight but other than my driving to and from work and to and from lessons, no money out. Oh, library books are due back today so we may do that before or after lessons depending on dinner time. Library is near the YMCA so no extra driving.

Dear ALl, On Mon, my Darling brother was here only in the afternoon, & I had enough energy for that.  Yesterday, being here from 9:30-4, I became exhausted, even though I had slept well.  My brother fixed everything in the house that could be fixed, including some things that I hadn't even noticed!  There is a reason why he chooses to livein Manhattan, "the city that never sleeps!" 

I slept well last night, too, so can only hope & pray for adequate stamina today.

We are inaugurating the pressure cooker with a zucchini bisque with tomatoes & basil today.  (Even with aid by a provider, my brother was anxious that I know exactly how it works -- sweetheart tht he is!

We had lunch yesterday at a vegan restaurant with one friend, my volunteer from Jewish Family &Children's Services, & we are having lunch today at a salad bar with 2 other friends.  Before that, today, we're going together to see my personal physician.  (This is a different day from usual, because my brother will be flying home tomorrow.)

Please don't misunderstand, I am feeling exuberant that my brother is here, but that in & of itself is not good for me.  (It is hypomania.)  BUT I will miss him so much once he leaves this afternoon!

 Quiet- relatively- day here today.  Swimming lessons for three, and then my 6 yo has a friend coming over.  Think I'll make eggs and muffins for lunch, that should be something she likes.  

Other than that, happily skipping the free food site, as we have food support.  It is a three hour gig to get a grocery cart of assorted and expired food, it helped a lot, but I am happy  to be able to go the store. 

We might go to the pool this evening, will see what happens.  I need to clean the house and do laundry, the basement is gross from water still running in, our house is built on an old creek bed.  I thought it was going to rain last night, LL and Julie, but it cleared up.  I hope to sort some clothes.  

Also need to pop over to Walmart, get two prescriptions and maybe some of the cheap school supplies.
