    bleeding from his tail area

Nanagain2000, this could be a sign of something extremely serious.  I cared for a dog last year who had been diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma and who had a splenectomy.  When his systems finally began to shut down, he began bleeding from the tail area; it was a sign of internal bleeding.  A friend of mine told me that internal bleeding is extremely painful, as she had once had the unfortunate experience herself.  As to scratching, if there is no evidence of fleas or flea dirt, it could be allergies to something in the dog's food.  Not sure what kind of dog or dog food you have.  Many dogs are allergic to corn, wheat or even food coloring, and these things are often common in dog food.

Thanks Lynnea  I'll keep that in mind. We're sure it's fleas cause we keep getting bit ourselves the bleeding occured when he wet the dog down before shampooing him then stopped once the fur was wet and didn't occur when he was shampooed or rinised. But if I have to take him to the vets I'll mention it to her and have him checked.

    Re: Monday 7.14 $ Stretching

First day with dh gone for a job, it seems strange, but we emailed for an hour last night and I called him for a few minutes this morning.  My goal for the time he is away is to completely clean and organize the house, since I can leave more things out.  You need to make a mess to clean and organize.  I have decluttered already this morning a little in the basement, a big branch outside, and dh's new laptop box.  I am going to stay optimistic and look at this time apart as a season.

Today three girls have swimming, I am taking everyone to Mall of America so oldest dd can charge some clothes for work at H and M, on her card.  Then to the library for books for reading, with dh gone I also plan on much less TV time for everyone.

I have 5 loads of clothes, first one is in.  Need to get a certificate of coverage for insurance for dh, call in a prescription to Walmart, and go to the grocery store.  Maybe pickup prescription and the very cheap school supplies we need at Walmart, as it is close to the Mall.  My goal at the grocery store is to buy our food for us, a few things for dh's apt, and a few things for the pantry. Realized I didn't use up several items in the pantry over the last 7 months as I didn't have the other ingredients, need good pasta sauce to use noodles, good vegatarian boullion to use veggies for soup, etc.  So plan to get things with the next year in mind.  Maybe starting with veg oil, boullion, things from the baking and spice aisle.   I would like Pam and Baker's Joy, they have been on my "when dh gets a  job" shopping list.

All in all should be a nice day, as the only scheduled item is swimming at 10:10.  It will be nice to be outside at the pool for 40 minutes, plan to take the groc ad and my coupons.

    Happy Monday!

latenight--you always sound so organized and have a roadmap set out, even with your DH gone for now. I know you just have to keep going but i hope it gets easier for you.

We did lots of work around the house this weekend. DH painted the porch floor and painted in the basement laundry room. He also got some free dirt and sloped around the foundation of our house. He also edged our lawn down the whole sidewalk and driveway. It now looks very tidy! I did decluttering and cleaning inside. 2 bags to Goodwill, 2 bags to a family garage sale, lots of baby things to my sister in law. We are trading baby items for a dresser for our oldest DS. He needs something bigger and I hated to buy something right now. It's a little banged up from our 2 nephews but it will work great.

We had a fun and frugal Saturday night. We went swimming at a local pool for a birthday party. Had a great time with friends.

Today, I'm at work all day. Brought breakfast, yogurt and coffee. I will head home for lunch with my boys. I have a meeting at 6:00 tonight (dinner provided) so DH will have to work magic in the kitchen! I think he had hamburgers on the menu. He will continue to work around the house. I know he wanted to work on a couple of windows that need some glazing and painting. The boys can play outside and he can work.

Other than my driving to and from work, no money out today. Caught up on laundry as well so a break for a few days. Take care!

Luvd_Lioness, get some sleep, I don't know how you are doing it. I got up at 4 am for work and saw you had already posted!!

I don't know either how I am doing it... the funny part of fibromyalgia for me... either sleep alot (like Sunday) or no sleep (getting 3-4 hrs). I just take what I can get.

Should be a good stretchy day here for us. Not going anywhere until Sarah's ball game tonight. Luckily it's a home game so not far to drive. I'll be doing laundry today, taking out trash, stuff like that, etc. I'll be packing the cooler for the game tonight. So hopefully nothing will be purchased from the concession stand.

Dear Nanagain, I totally sympathize with the fact that the showerhead fix is going to be expensive, but I could not help -- plese pardon me! -- giggling a little at teh extraordinary circumstances that you described!

A fairly stretchy day here.  Working this morning and need to run a quick errand as well.  Going to a get together this afternoon at a friend's house which should be fun.  DH has a business meeting after work so I'll make tacos/taco salad fixin's so everyone can eat whenever they are ready.  Tomorrow is payday!!  Been counting the days!
