    Re: Stocking up

I am single, but have three kids, so I stock up on almost anything I can get cheap or free with coupons.  I have a large extended family, so what I cant use, I share with family.  Plus we live on a farm far from town, so if theres a blizzard I wont have to get to the store!

I stock up on frozen veggies of a wide variety...use what I need, when I need it.  Potatoes and rice are easy to keep, and I just found out that potatoes keep a lot longer when they are in a dark place.  I stock up on garlic and put it in the fridge, but often can't use it fast enough.  Once I heard that someone froze it, but I've never tried it myself.  If there are sales on soap, paper products, or whatever else like that, I'll stock up.  It's amazing how long a big box of laundry soap or shampoo lasts, so I don't feel bad about buying the best quality.Interesting thread! Thanks for the tips,

    DAvid M.
