    Re: July Debt Check In

We have one more payment left on the truck! My husband needs to call and ask for the actual final payment so we can send the accurate amount. YAY!

I still have the hospital and cell phone bills to deal with. Since neither feels particularly motivated to give us accurate account information and balances, I am not sure how to count this for tracking. Payment is stalled until I have these. Should I just wait until I get responses/statements and then consider them actual debts and track payments, thoughts please?

    That is great Brandy!!

I would pay the minimum on the bills so you aren't considered in default until you get the correct balances.  I would push hard though for the right amounts.

I have no guarantee that my payments would be properly credited. I have never been billed for the hospital bill so I have no account number to add with a payment. We have paid what should have been the bill for the cell phone, the remainder of the balance is the amount that we disputed. The cell phone was paid online and the access to the account information has been removed along with the bill pay feature.

thats hard then.  Do you know if you are really going  to be billed by the hospital?  since I dont' deal with things like that I dont' know.  some things  are billed here but can take up to 6 mths for a bill.   I had a problem with a overpayment for my newspaper and that took mths to straighten out.

It's complicated and one of the things I really do hate about healthcare in the U.S. Themedical test was done eight years ago. The medical biller has the record of it, they put it against my credit but I never received the bill nor do they have any record of having sent me a statement for it. And they still can't seem to get it sent.

    Mortgage: $97000

    Credit Card: $1450

    Outstanding dental bill: $195

    Property taxes due: $1618

We just got our govt rebate check ($1800) so bye-bye to the credit card debt! Party!!! I will also pay the dental bill but have medical reimbursement as part of my job so I will get reimbursed for that in August ($100 taken out each month). Our property taxes are due and I put money aside in a money market acct each month so I will write a check for that amount.

I can't believe it quite yet but we will be credit card debt free in just a few days when the check clears! Thanks to all for the support as we tried to find an extra $500 to $600 a month to pay this debt down while living smarter so as to not need credit cards. Our cash system is working!
