$88 worth of groceries for $36

I had some QFC  store coupons that I have been saving for months waiting for the right ad to come along so I could match up the sales. Last night was the night. I got $23 in free meat(woo hoo) and saved a ton of money on stuff I would normally use anyway. I love mixing store coupons with manufactures coupons. I also got a free grocery tote bag too boot. Made my day. I really wish we could do double coupons here in Washington it feels like the only state in the country where you can't do that.

Is is actually against the law in your state for coupons to be doubled? That stinks!

There were no local stores in Mississippi where we lived that doubled coupons. I have not found any in Louisiana where I am either.

Harris Teeter doubles coupons up to $.99. You get better savings there if you also have a VIC card & you register it with them.

I don't know where you live in NC, but Harris Teeter is in NC. They have stores in VA also.

I just went online to see if I could find the website I had once seen that had a state by state listing of stores that double or even triple coupons but with no luck. However I did read that Ralphs in California has dumped thier double coupon policy in favor off adding a coffee shop in the store. Hmmmm.... How is a coffee shop in the store going to get a mom  to drag her butt in there with a couple of already bored kids in tow. That just seems like a lousy trade off and of course it is in favor of the big corporations pocket books. Unfortunatly the moms with hungry mouths in tow are the ones who are going to tend to spend more money. Just my 2 cents.
