How about a container or way to organize the tools he has?  If he's like a lot of guys you could just go in the shed, clean and regift him his own tools :) John cleaned out the barn and found several "lost" hammers.  How about fixing the handle on his favorite shovel or ???? if it needs attention?

Not sure now what we'll be doing for my MIL. He's been undergoing chemo for several months now, and was taken to OSU/The James last night, because he had blood in his urine. Brian is currently talking to him or his mom (I can't tell which), and I'm killing time until he gets off the phone and I can get the scoop. There is an issue with his liver, it's not filtering properly, and it's also where the cancer is (just a few spots), and they're not sure when he'll be released. Normally, on the Sat. before Father's Day, Brian and his sisters & brother have a big cookout at his oldest sister's house for Father's Day, and that's off for now.

Thanks Brandy, I really appreciate it. I do know that he's had some sort of scan (Brian couldn't remember what it was called), an MRI, and tons of blood work to try and figure out what's going on. His platelettes were way down, but when he seemed to be in high spirits last night when Brian talked to him. I'll know in a little while whether or not he was able to come home today or if they're keeping him longer. The way it stands now, we might be going to my inlaws on Saturday so Brian can put in their window A/C unit, and do some work on their riding mower, and whatever else is needing to be done.
