Is 1.69 a good price for fresh boneless

chicken breasts?  I want to stock up.  And thats the cheapest I have seen.

    Thanks!

Albertsons if you live in So Cal and it's a sale on friday from 1:00 - 9:00

Took off ticker, because it's too depressing.

It depends on what the prices are in your area. If that is the cheapest price you have found then that is likely a good price for your area..

And just to compare, I pay about $2.30 a pound for frozen at the cheapest prices.

    Hi Babs,

It is usually 1.99 here, so when I saw this 5 hour sale at Albertsons and just defrosted my last two pieces, I thought.. okay, I stock up now!  See.... I am learning from you guys!

Yep, it really does depend on your area. Here $1.99 is a good sale price for chicken breasts (and when we stock up). Normally they're over $2.40/lb. at the discount grocery here, and that's the cheapest non-sale price.

If I found them at that price I'd fill the shopping cart with them.

$2.00/lb is a "sale" price here, usually $2.40/2.50 a pound.

COME ON EVERYBODY!  GET READY!  HURRY UP!   Time

Road trip to get the best deal on chicken breasts I've seen in AGES!

"On sale" here is $2.10 per pound for boneless skinless...so yes, that is a great price, imho.

Re: Is 1.69 a good price for fresh boneless

I live in NM and good sale is $1.39 a pound and every three week or so sale is $1.59 a pound.  This week is $1.59 a pound.  Also sometimes my local grocery story Smith's (Krogers) sends out coupons to their reward card holders for $1.50 off a $5.00 purchase of chicken.  So I try to stock up then.  It seems that in reading this forum we haven't been hit as high as everyone else for food.  Like milk on sale this week is $2.39 a gallon and last week was $2.29 on sale.  It is an increase of $1.50 a gallon we paid last year but not as high as everywhere else.
