    Value City

I haven't seen it mentioned on here yet.   I don't live near one anymore, but when I did, I got the best deals there!  I got everything from interview suits to curtains to dishes to my artificial Christmas tree.  If there's one near you, you might want to check it out.

I'm with you Mimi!! We have a ValueCity within 30 miles and I have gotten some really nice household items for cheap. They also carry a variety of remanufactured brand name vacuum cleaners and carpet cleaners for 29.00 to 39.00!

I haven't purchased many clothes for myself, but the men's and boy's items have worked out well. I didn't know how many places VC was located. I'm in Virginia...but if anyone sees one along their travels, I highly recommend stopping in!

This store is advertised all the time in the Cleveland area, but seems to be not in the cycle of stores I frequent.  But, I don't need many if any things, so usually my shopping is for food and/or cleaning items.

    Re: Value City

It was ideal for me when I had my first apartment.  I needed sheets, towels, kitchen items, etc. whether I could afford them or not.  Where I lived at the time, both Goodwill and Salvation Army were way overpriced, and I could get better deals on brand new items at Value City.  I also desperately needed work clothes since my student clothes were inappropriate for the office.  I got everything for 75% less than I would have had to pay at the mall.  I don't need anywhere near as much now as I did then, but it's still a great place to check out when items wear out.  The prices were similar, but a lot of the items at my local store were a higher quality than I could find at Big Lots.  I wish there were one around here!
