Weekly: Military Commissary for groceries, cleaning, paper, and toiletry products
As needed: Costco for certain staples like sugar, salt, pepper, olive oil, stew meat, italian sasage, cheese
Occasionally: Walmart for the seasonal stuff like sunscreens, allergy medicine, etc.
I shop weekly at Food Lion that is 1 mile from my house. But I'm only 2-3 miles from Walgreens, a local farmer's market that's not really that great as the produce is rarely local, Farm Fresh, Super K Mart, Kroger, and -- when it opens in another month or so -- Super Target. Farm Fresh, Super K, and Kroger are all in spitting distance of each other, just drive through the parking lot to the next one. I'll shop any of them for a loss leader. (This week Farm Fresh is doing $1 boxes of cereal and poptarts!!! I'll stop by at least twice and stock up on the maximum allowed -- 10 boxes of each. It's not the healthiest, but we limit poptarts to weekends only 95% of the time so they'll last a very long time.)
