Re: Money Tracker: Oh Where Oh Where Has My Rebate Gone?

As our usual luck goes, after we spent the first almost $400. on a new lawmower another $500 had to go for unexpected car repairs. With what was left, some went towards paying off a credit card, and then my husband and I each bought ourselves some hobby things for fun; he bought some collectibles and used video games and I bought some old sewing machines to fix up. That keeps us busy and off the streets!  Edey

Ours went into our savings account, too. We dont have credit cards. I did years ago, one. And saw the total amount due going up each time I made the minimum payment, and I got it paid and closed. That was my only and last one. It wasn't that I was smart or anything, I really wasn't back then. It was the overwhelming feeling of the card company .. how to put this delicately.. well, I can't say what I started to LOL .. um.. "doing me over". Ya, that's delicate LOL! Or putting the thumbscrews to me :-) That made me angry enough to stand up for myself and close the thing.

Anyway, as usual I rambled to get to my point, and the point is that we are our own credit card, so that's why it went into savings. For car repairs, home repairs, etc, that are an ongoing part of life!
