    •  $15 of dog treats for $6 after coupons
    • 2 Liptons at .45 each after coupons

Spent $46 at the store today- tortillas, cheese, milk, yogurt, cupcakes because dd was having a friend over for lunch, bananas.  Bananas were up to 66 cents a lb.  Milk up, too. Enjoyed having 5 Totina's pizzas, $1 each for dinner, but kids still hungry.  Will need to plan a side dish next time-

Re: Cooking and Shopping in May

Thursday's trip was $100.21 but $35 of that was budgeted by itself for DH's Monster drinks.  I caught them on sale for $5.98 per 4 pk so I saved $5 and put it toward the groceries.

Kroger- 3 small salad bags at 99¢ each, free after coupons; 3 pouches instant potatoes @$1 each, free after coupons; 1 roll Bounty paper towels @75¢, 25¢ after coupon; Dole Pina Colada juice gallon @$2.19, $1.19 after coupon; 4 lb bag sugar on sale @ $1.49; 8 oz. sour cream 84¢; box of Hersey cookies reg. $2.19, on clearance for $1; 2  12 oz bags of pasta on clearance for $1 each;  1 can baby carrots @69¢; 3 Jell-o family size gelatin @ $1 each for $3 total, $2 after coupon;  2 5 ct cinamon rols @ $1 each for $2 total; 10¢ @ after coupon, 2 5 ct Grands biscuit at $1 each for $2 total, 95¢ for both after coupon; Lysol spray kitchen cleaner and a bottle of Lysol pourable cleaner @2 for $4, $1 each after coupons.  Total was $13.21

Wal-mart (I hate that place)- Dog food (the only kind the poodles will eat) $15.27 for 20 lbs; 1/2 gallon milk $2.29; 24 slices American cheese $1.89; 1 lb pkg OM chopped ham $3; Dr Peppers $10; 3 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts on sale for $5; 2 TV dinners for DH $2.92; pkg of (shudder) chicken gizzards (shudder blech) for DH $1.98; 2 lb package rice $1.64; 2 lb package dried pinto beans $1.64; 3 boxes scalloped potatoes $2.94; 2 lb bag white onions $1.89; 1 can beef gravy 98¢;  5 pks monster @$5.98 each.  Total after coupons was $87 even.  But only $57 goes toward the grocery budget.

Total for the month is pushing my budget so I'm going to have to plan carefully since I still need food for the backyard dog and bread each week.

    re-tired
