discovered why my shampoo has disappeared so fast!  kids pouring it into their bath!  3 bottles gone!

 Ugh, Martha!  Well I know you can get huge bottles of bubble bath at the Dollar Tree. Might be worth a look if it'll keep them outta the shampoo.

Spent $19.67 at the Hostess/Wonderbread outlet last week. Got 4 loaves of bread and snack cakes.  Will probably need to go again this weekend.

Spent $3.98 at Walgreens for two 5lb. bags of Domino Sugar, limit 2 w/coupon yesterday

Spent $47.23 at Market Basketfor groceries today. Good buys: Land o' Lakes 24 pack sliced cheese $2.50; Hellman's Mayo large jars for $2.50; Maple Ham from the deli (our favorite) $3.99/lb, normally $5.99/lb.; romain lettuce $.79/head; MB ice cream $1.99; grape heirloom tomatoes $.99/pint.

I buy Avon's bubble bath because the kids skin doens't react to it.  They get excema easy.    They don't get baths every day for that reason. It was a plain water bath. I made them promise to stay out of the soap and shampoo. not that worked.  sigh why do you have pay for every bit of peace you get with little kids. I should know by now that if they are quiet and giving me peace for more then 10mins then they are trashing their room or something!

So bought more shampoo today at london drugs since my mom wanted a phone from there for mothers day.  bought 2 bottles plus  hairspray and a bag of mint m&ms  promo thing for Indiana jones movie and paper plates for mothers day so no worries about dishes. $17.81 for the shampoo etc. $22.39 for the phone.

Yesterday's shopping trips weren't as good as usual for me.

Brookshire's- 4 12 can pks of Dr Pepper $10, 1 can store brand Rotel from dent basket 35¢, sm. tomato sauce from dent basket 15¢, brownie mix 55¢ after coupon, scalloped potatoes 45¢ after coupon. with tax 14.61

Kroger- HB mt $2.47, steak (2 meals) $4.31, 10 2 litre DP $10, 1 gal juice $1.19 after coupon, 1/2 gal milk $2.29, quart choc milk 99¢, cream cheese $1.09, beets 89¢, 3 oranges $1, cucumber 99¢, tomatoes $1.99,  tuna 79¢,  lemonade mix $2, 2 rose cupcakes for mother's day $6, 1 roll toilet paper 89¢, 3 instant potatoes free after coupons, 1 tub frozen mini-eclairs 99¢ (reg $5.74), 5 lbs. potatoes 99¢ and 1 dozen eggs $1.59 after coupon.  Total with tax $45.

So almost $60 for the month with $140 left.  I need to buy some chicken and trash bags still for this week.

 Haven't been keeping close track, spent $16 at the store today for sour cream and cheese for potatoes for dinner.  Will use the cheese tomorrow for crockpot mac and cheese. 

I think I've spent in the $150 to $170 range.  

Best buys- the Walgreens register rewards household stock up items, I have 9 dishwasher soap and several toothpaste and deoderant for essentially free.

Using my pantry quite a bit.  Haven't felt like shopping much.  Feeling too broke!   

I have spent so much money so far.  $462  Today spent $9.50 on millet for the birds but it will last for the next couple of weeks. wasn't planning to go so soon to costco but we did.

 spent $132 at costco on sunday with a case of juice, 3 litres creamo, jug of milk, 1lb each sliced havati & monteray jack cheese, 2pk of kosher baby pickles, 12pk of cheese buns, 2lbs sliced cervalet salami, box of 40 cheese strings, 6 pack of small baking soda, a bag of cheese & chicken chimchangas (good deal dh likes them for lunch) case of noodle bowls, 2pk sliced ham, 4 pack of weiners, and a great deal a big bag of mixed nuts/dried fruit for snacks for me. healthier then eating processed goodies in the car or at work.  

Had planned on everything but the baking soda, ham, nuts/fruits and noodles but will use them anyways. Our student eats the noodle bowls for snacks. most food stuff at costco I can get for the same price at a reg store or cheaper on sale.

Hadn't expected to so much on groceries/pet food/household stuff so early in the month. well I am stocked up for sure.

I am restocking the pantry now so our amounts are reflecting that not any additional spending my husband is doing. 

I don't have any good deals to mention but I did have $10 in coupons! Downside is that $11 of this trip was taxes.

ugh I don't think about the taxes, just include them in my total because except most food items, everything has 5% gst and 7% pst on top of it.  can't change it so don't what to total it up separately. will depress me.

My food budget covers the taxes I have to pay on food. I was just surprised to realise it was $11, I guess I stopped really looking at that cost since I can't change it.

This week I stopped at Nickols bread store, Aldi, Kroger, and the Pizza Supply Store. I spent $150.41 used $32.57 in coupons. Bought 20 lbs of meat and dog food.
