    Has anyone received their stimulus direct deposit yet?

    I just checked our account..and no it wasn't there. Going by the last two numbers of the SSN, we should be near the first of the list. (We are 00's)

    But I also read another news article that anyone with the first grouping of last 2 ssn's, should have the direct deposit in the account by Friday May 2nd, (may not show up in your account until after midnight that night, depending on your bank.)

    I'll post when I get it.

     In my experience with getting direct deposit of tax refunds the funds usually show up in your account on Friday. Boy I wish we were getting direct deposit.

    You may be right. I just read that 800,000 Direct Deposits were to go out each day Mon, Tues, Wed. None will go out Thurs., while they prepare to direct dep. 5 million rebates on Friday.  That will be one HAPPY Friday! TGIF!!!

    Not to be a pessimist, but I wonder what you do if doesn't show up? Ever. I know that if you don't get it you can take the amount as a credit on the 2008 return, but who wants to wait??

    Here's an update on why some of us WILL NOT receive our stimulus $$ through Direct Deposit:

    Just keep in mind that the IRS found a loophole in providing people with the rebate via direct deposit. I had to call them to find out why I had heard that I was getting a paper check instead of DD, which is the way my refund was.

    They told me that IF you filed with H&R Block or TurboTax, paid for any fees (not just filing fees...I paid for audit support like I do every year.) out of your refund or got the RAL or signed up for H&R Block's Emerald Card, you will NOT be receiving your rebate DD. You will have to wait for the paper check.

     We got our check but for some reason it was $2,739 instead of $3,000.

    We haven't received ours yet either.  We're in the first group with our last ssn as 17, so I'm not sure why it's not there yet.  I've also tried contacting 866-234-2942 rebate hotline and nothing can be found for us. 

    I'm hearing conflicting reports from all around about this.  for example someone wrote that if you had used TurboTax and had to pay fees then you have to wait for a paper check.  I don't by that but then on the hotline they're telling me that we won't be receiving our check until May 16th. 

    I wish I could get some straight answers.  We really could use this money NOW!
