I have a 2 year old sage plant that is just about taken over the big planter it's in. I leave it alone and it's happy. Dill didn't do that well, it may have been too hot where it was. Edey

Besides growing my own, I buy celery with good green tops. These get rinsed & dried in my dehydrator for days when I have no celery & want the taste in my recipes. Just crush the leaves & add to taste.

I have a small herb garden in a raised bed outside my kitchen door. I have about 10 varieties. the chives I use fresh in goat cheese. When i dry them, I hang them in clusters or laid flat on towels.

I also grow and dry my own herbs.  Usually, I cluster small sets, rubberband the ends, then use a paperclip (unwound) to hang them in a closet to dry.  I also dry on screens.  This year I'm trying Italian Parsley 'cause I was making pasta over the winter, trying different Italian recipes, and a lot of times it called for Italian Parsley.  My I.P. seedlings are doing good, but haven't planted them outdoors yet.

Dear All, Does anyone know which herb(s) can take shade?  I have northern exposure windows -- no patio or such.  My favorite herb, ciliantro, simply will not grow.  I've also tried oregano & parsley.  No good, either.  Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated -- TIA.  Yours in Him, Deb
