here because of the weather the stores haven't even started really selling seedlings, hanging baskets etc.

I will plant some tomatoes and beans when it is nicer.  Raspberries and blueberries are doing fine.  Dh cleaned up some of the garden a couple of sat ago when Bob (cat) was enjoying his last day in the sun.  

42 degrees and cloudy. Spring?!

Got the seedling plants at the nursery yesterday that I was missing. I put those in the little greenhouse with my homegrown seedlings. Dh got the manure spread on the gardens over the weekend so tonight he is going to till.

 They're predicting rain and snow tonight here. 

I have to make a trip to the nursery because I killed my last tomato plant. I only wanted one or two, so I started three... one didn't make it at all, one was hit with damping off and the last one... well, I dropped it. I was hardening it off and picked up the tray to bring it inside in the evening and I dropped everything. The pepper and two chamomile plants are fine, but the tomato just couldn't handle it. I stuck it back in the dirt and thought it was going to survive, but this morning it was drooped beyond recovery.

Everything in the ground already is doing fine. Broccoli, spinach, beets, radishes, etc. Strawberries are blooming and I can hardly wait.  

oooh that four letter word, snow! I walked the dog yesterday with gloves and earmuffs on! Today is the only nice day predicted for this week so I am going to do all of my laundry that has piled up waiting for a day when it can be hung on the line. The rest of the week will be below normal temperatures. I'll try to get some planting done Friday....mostly corn, potatoes, onions, cabbage, and broccoli. I haven't decided if I'll seed lettuce and squash yet.

Our weather continues to rollercoaster up and down, so I've still not planted my sweet allysum seedlings which are now blooming.  Haven't gone to buy any annuals yet either.  Usually I get petunias, geraniums and other misc plants to make my own hanging baskets.

My strawberries are blooming too!  Hope I get a good crop, even though I still have frozen jam from last year.  I have Sure-Jell from last year - wonder if it'll still work okay.  Also want to try dehydrating strawberries, see how that goes.

I'm harvesting lettuce & spinach now - we had big salads last night.  Yum!

Hi, here in Wyoming it doesn't pay to plant too early, I have lost way too many plants that way. I have a small garden and I am not to good at it but I try. I planted radishes but that is all I have put in. I buy my plants as I am not too good at starting them. This year my daughter and granddaughter and I  are going to garden together. We are excited. I am going to plant acorn and yellow squash, cucs, cabbage,mammoth sun flowers, pole beans and corn and tomatoes.  I have a lily garden also that I just love.  We have an apple tree that produces well ever other year. We got tons last year and canned, froze and made apple butter.  Good luck on your garden this year.

I'm not far from the Wyoming border (grew up outside of Laramie), so I know what you mean. I have nothing but cold weather things out now. I'm patiently (?) waiting warm weather so I can plant squash, tomatoes, beans, things like that. I got an apple tree for Mother's Day, so I'm excited about that!  

 Sure jell boxes have a date on them. If it is expired just add a little extra lemon juice. I have had good experience doing that. Babs

We've had alot of rainy and cold weather here in WV.

 I got my yearly gift of "dirt" for Mothers Day!  Will probably wait another week to put the plants out. (weather permitting of course!) 

warm weather can't come to soon. This winter has been so long. I can't remember when it has seemed so long. everyone I meet says the same thing.  How soon do  you put out your tomaties? An old women told me never before May 31 but the season is so short here I always try it earlier. Sometimes it works others I lose. you will love your apple tree. wait till you get your first apple, it will taste so good.
