    I love the faux braided rug idea but I wonder if the little pricklies on the rope would come through the fabric?

    You could probably use the same idea but with cotton clothesline rope. Then you wouldn't have the pricklies. I wouldn't want to work with sisal rope anyway. Your hands would be raw unless you wore gloves. Edey

    Im doing a rug right now and its for the laundry room, I hit thrift shops for worn out plaid shirts that are cotten and its fun it keeps mom out of trouble when she is having fun with her own pile of rags...:)
