    Locked Reply Contact

Due to recent issues, our policies and guidelines have been revamped to be sure what is expected is clear. Please read these before participating in the Dollar Stretcher Forums.

Participation in the Dollar Stretcher forums is an agreement to the user guidelines. These apply to posts, profile information, avatars, signatures, any other content on this site and participation in general. Due to the nature of the discussions on this community, it is not possible for us to review and/or confirm the accuracy or validity of a message before it is posted. If you believe that someone has violated our user guidelines, please use the report button on the post to alert the forum manager to the issue. This does include the reporting of spam. Please do not respond to posts that may be in violation.  Remember, esponding to a violation in an inflammatory manner is a violation in itself and will result in appropriate action.

Any content that violates our user policies will be removed. Interpretation of our guidelines is at the discretion of the staff. Do not argue with staff members over decisions made. If you feel you have a legitimate complaint against a staff member or a decision made by one; you can make your complaint in a private message to the forum manager. The decision of the forum manager is final.

    Participation Policy...

    • Remember when posting here that we are community for information on managing money and the support of frugal lifestyles. We ask that members be respectful of one another and maintain the positive atmosphere we strive for. We are not responsible for the information that others may give and members should be aware that the responses they receive may not always be what they want them to be.
    • Advertising is not allowed here. Generally speaking, posts made specifically for the promotion of a website, product or service is considered advertising. Due to this being an issue, we have instated the rule that all new members must have 25 posts before they may share a link in their signature or in the content of a post.
    • For your own safety, please do not give out personal information like your home address or phone number. If you do so privately, this is at your own risk.
    • Complaints about the operation of the forums, against a moderator or another member will not be permitted in the open forums. These will be removed. Please use the report button for violations and spam. If you have an issue with another member or a moderator, try to work it out politely. If that is not possible, you can take your grievance to a pm with the manager.

    Content Policy...

    • Please do not post the same content in more than one forum or topic. Identical posts in the same or different forums will be removed.
    • We value our rich content and discussions here. Please do not add short or meaningless comments to posts. Share your thoughts and tips instead for the good of the community.
    • We require that all posts are done in the English language.
    • This is a family content friendly community. Vulgar language and inappropriate material is not allowed and will be removed.
    • While we can discuss religious and political matters as they impact our lives, we should avoid argumentative comments and accusations. This is not the place for a flame war over who is wrong and who is right.
    • Do not post copyrighted materials (articles, videos, audio, etc.) that you do not have permission to reproduce or distribute. For text articles, most of the time you may quote a small portion of the article (usually no more than 1/5 or 1/6) and you must link to the source (if online) or provide the source (if offline). Posting the entire article, even with the source, constitutes copyright infringement.
    • Please help us to maintain this community as a friendly place where members can safely share their ideas and tips. Please refrain from inflammatory and defamatory comments as well as flaming, taunting, and general disrespect.
    • Automated account creation and participation is not permitted. Suspected spammers and bots will be deleted.
    • If you elect to leave the community on your own, your content will remain on our forums. We do not delete member's accounts or posts. Please don't ask us to.

    Policy on including links.....

    • All signature links must link to your own personal sites or blogs and share something with your fellow stretchers about you and your life.
    • You are not allowed to post an affiliate URL that leads to you earning cash, banner impressions, credits, points, etc. in the body of a post or in your signature.
    • You are responsible for the link you share. Please be sure the site you are linking to is content and rating relational to the Dollar Stretcher. If the site is inappropriate, the link will be removed.

We reserve the right to deactivate any account and to edit or remove any content without warning. These guidelines are subject to change as needed at any time without notice.

Thank you for visiting and participating in The Dollar Stretcher.
