Hi Michelle, I'm in SW Michigan and gas is $3.49 here too. It looks like we're the highest so far. That must be because we are such a prosperous state. LOL

Since posting on 5/16 that gas was $2.92 here in central NC, it's gone up to $3.02.

Ugh! It's $3.19 here (today, anyway). I'm starting to think getting rid of the car was the best financial move we ever made, lol!

The cheapest here now is out of town about 4 miles: $3.16. It's not worth the drive, I can get it for $3.20 closer. It's somewhat like watching a sllooowww horror movie. :)

    Re: Gas Prices

Well, I'm sick about it. I just put about 3/4 tank in my car, and it's $3.55 and 9/10 here in Metro Detroit. I don't do a ton of driving, but I knew the 1/4 tank I had wasn't going to get me through the holiday weekend.  Might as well bite the bullet and do it, since (a) it's only going to go up this weekend because of the holiday and (b) I just heard a news report about a broken pipeline that's going to lower supply (therefore driving up prices even higher).

BTW, isn't that 9/10 a joke? But I notice EVERYONE rounds down instead of up, so apparently the psychology works.
