Actually, Pat, I was wondering -- do we have a thread where people can post pictures of their accomplishments?  I think it'd be fun to see what thrifty crafters come up with.  A lot of times I feel out of place among the other crafters I know, because they just go out and buy their materials new/not on sale...

Feel free to post pictures when you want to - start your own thread if you like. They do have to be hosted elsewhere. I'd love to see some of the things people are doing. (My camera is on the blink or I'd post some of mine.)

I wanted to do that too, as it might help to illustrate projects, however I don't know for sure how to get something out of my computer into a post. I looked up Photobucket, is that what you mean by hosting? Edey

I think that's what Pat's saying.  Photobucket's one of the free services out there, but you can also try Flickr or ImageShack.

I'm still working on the baby sampler that I started right after New Year's Day.  I have one foot finished and am halfway through the other foot! (It's two baby footprints set among blocks with a couple of toys running along the bottom with places for name and DOB)  After that I have a wedding sampler to needlepoint for a June wedding.  I got the whole kit thread and all on clearance marked down from $6.99 to $1.99.  It's a luscious looking piece and so I'm very pleased.  This is a very high maintenance couple but with a pretty frame that I found at a yard sale, I think it will pass.

Then I have to figure out a sampler for another baby using the Dallas Cowboys star.  His room is already full of the isignia.  His parents are rabid fans.  So he better hope he likes the Cowboys!  That will be in June also.  Unless he arrives beforehand like my other baby did!

Progress on these projects is slow for me because of the arthritis.  But the dr said it also is good for my hands and fingers to keep doing them.

My current projects right now all involve alterations/re-creating.  I've discovered over time that unlike my mother, I actually don't like doing craft stuff "from scratch" -

I think this is a great idea.  Makes me feel better about the laundry basket full of clothes sitting behind me that for some reason we can not or do not wear anymore but I hated to throw out.  I thought I could salvage some of the fabric and buttons if nothing else.  I also have a neat book I bought a couple of years ago called " Altered Clothing"by Kathleen Maggio.  It has alot of ideas, although alot of them are too young for me, if you are reselling, you could  really get some ideas from this.  See if you can find this book at your library or on ebay.  It has alot of pictures and instructions too.

This is my first time on this board and I like it!!!!
