    Re: February, 2008 Food Stamps

Dear All, At Whole Foods today, I spent $28.16 after $6.40 in store coupons.  I got a LOT for my money.  I got 5lbs of organic carrots, 4 nonfat 6oz yoghurts, 12 taco corn shells (NO PRESERVATIVES OR TRANS-FATS!), whole-wheat shell pasta, garlic pasta sauce, 2 canned soups, can of tuna, a roll of paper towels, sole fillets, herring in dill sauce (cooked), Lemon Zinger green tea, & a sourdough baguette.  The baguette cost $1.50 (sale) for 4 large servings (I find it hard to cut anything into an odd number of servings, although the label says that the baguette has 5 servings.) -- I was going to buy 3 bagels @79cents, but  the baguette was a much better buy.

I have $54.71 left in Food Stamps through the 1st.  I have a couple of coupons for soy foods that expire this month, so I'll be buying those at Cala/Ralphs/Kroger still this month.  Other than that, I don't anticipate any more food expenditures.  Yours in Him, Deb

I went to SuperWal-Mart today since I have been craving salad but didn't have the Italian dressing I wanted on it. So I spent some $.

    • Reduced Italian loaf of bread 80 cents
    • 4 bagged bananas 49 cents
    • 2 GV plain yogurts 38 cents each
    • GV FF Italian salad dressing (has sugar but not high fructose corn syrup) $1.42
    • croutons 98 cents

Cash paid for 40ct of quart sized freezer bags. ($2.28)

    Balance: $42.51 until 3/13

    Matthew 5:16
Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.
    1 Samuel 12:24
But be sure to fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart; consider what great things he has done for you.

Now, Luvd_Lioness, you have as always made wise choices in your purchases.  I hope that the $42.50 that you have left will see you easily through the 13th.

I spent $17.40 at Cala/Ralphs/Kroger today.  I have left $37.31 until the 1st.  I bought 2 cans of crushed pineapple, Morningstar Farms soy crumbles (for tacos - yummy!), 2 1-lb packages of chopped spinach, grapefruit juice, pickles (& these are store-brand; there is hardly ever a Kosher sign on generic foods, but both the grapefruit juice & the pickles are OK), leaf lettuce on sale, 2 10-oz packages of mushrooms on sale (I've had a hankering for barley-&-mushroom soup.), & 2 avocados on deep sale (79cents instead of $2!).
