    Guidelines

I want to add a few notes to the official Guidelines below. The first is, please be careful when quoting articles, recipes, sites, etc., because those things are automatically copyrighted and when you post a complete copy, you've violated US copyright laws. That could get you as well as us in trouble.

The second thing I want to address is this: Some of the Guidelines seem to be hard to interpret. Please ask if you're not sure. My email address is pat@stretcher.com if you'd like to email me, or you can just post to this forum and I'll see it.

The most important Guideline of all, and one that gets attention in a hurry when it's broken, is the one dealing with relationships: "Disagreements sometimes reach far beyond a particular subject, so I have to say this: No personal attacks or argumentative attitudes are acceptable." No way, no how, not at any time will personal attacks (or anything that can be taken as a personal attack) be tolerated.

    Thanks for reading!

    Official Dollar Stretcher Community Guidelines

    1. We're a family friendly place. That means that people of all ages are welcome, so please don't post anything you wouldn't discuss in front of young children.
    2. The only group of people who never disagree is a group that doesn't communicate. Communicate! And when you do disagree, please do so politely.
    3. Disagreements sometimes reach far beyond a particular subject, so I have to say this: No personal attacks or argumentative attitudes are acceptable.
    4. Text signatures are allowed, but are limited to 400 characters. Please don't include anything offensive or questionable.
    5. Your definition of "offensive" may differ from ours, so if you ask, we'll be glad to guide you.
    6. No referral links are allowed either in a signature or the body of a post. That doesn't mean you can't post links to your own site or to others if it's relevant to the conversation.
    7. No spamming of any kind is acceptable.
    8. Please don't argue with me or any moderator at any level. If we have to referee a disagreement, our decision is final.
    9. Problems or questions can be addressed to me: pat@stretcher.com, but I don't live here, so if I don't answer right away, don't panic. I will answer.

Have fun, support each other and let's get on with learning more and more about how to control our money.
