Don't laugh...but I use it as an aquarium cleaner.  The tank hood develops hard water deposits, I clean with vinegar, rinse and drip dry.  Works like a charm.  I tried using it for counters and such, but DH hates the smell.

I use white vinegar in the dish washer.I pour it in that little door for the expensive spot-remover stuff and turn it on.When the cycle is finished and I first open the door, I get a little whiff of vinegar but that dissipates quickly.My dishes are gorgeous, and so are the glasses.I think I willll take your suggestion and use it on my hair, I use alot of product and this may save me some $$$.My question is this: I have white (clear) vinegar and the suggestion said to use cider.Is clear and cider interchangeable in this?
