I want to announce an exciting step towards getting ahead again...
THE METER IS PAID OFF! I had not added this financed tool to my debt tracking but contemplating the pay off is really uplifting! This was a $200 deduction from my husband's pay each month. He has other tool needs but I am hoping we can use the savings from this and add any funds needed to pay cash in future.

It's not silly at all. I rarely considered it a debt that we would really see paid off. It did feel more like a deducted expense, rather like tax and social security. When doing basic budgeting, I didn't even add it in to my expenses as I work with after deduction take home pay.

A signal analysis tool. My husband uses his to check signal level when he is installing new service and making repairs as a low signal will cause bad or no reception on the television. And that's as much as I know about it, lol. Even though he once had many of the tools needed for this kind of work, some necessary things were missing when he began this job in October. The meter being a mandatory tool had to be financed as it cost more money than we could part with to pay cash.

Thats great! two hundred dollars is a lot of extra money to have each month. Though you would think the company would give him a meter since it is essential to the job. but maybe its the case of if you own it you take better care of it policy.

Divide the $200.00 into thirds, one for savings, one for necessaries and one to pay off debt. Congratulations, that must feel very good. E.
