    Pumpkin,

I have not seen nor heard a thing about where these funds are coming from but I do wonder...and worry.

These funds are coming from thin air--borrowing against some future $$ somewhere down the road at some vague point in time.

It is like the fed. govt. is taking a HUGE cash advance from the credit card and sharing it with all of us...much like any govt. does with spending, year after decade after century...deficit spending...overdrafting our grandchildren's and great grandchildren's future to "stimulate" the economy today.

    Such financial wisdom...

    Matthew 6:25-34 Do Not Worry

25"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? 26Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?

Dear All, In the Senate bill (which has to be conferenced with the House, at this point), folks on Social Security who get moe than $3K/year [almost everyone on SS] will get a $300 "rebate" check.  We have not currently paid any taxes -- or at least most of us have not.  Now it's not that I won't be glad to get the extra money to add to my forthcoming self-sufficient income -- it's just that I totally agree with everyone else who has said:  This money is comoign from our grandchildren's income!  Down with deficit spedning!

At any rate, due to the SS clause in the Senate bill, I have to disagree with the title of this thread, "Tax REbate only for the Rich...."

Enter His gates with thanksgiving, His courts with praise; give thanks to Him, bless His Name. (Psalm 100)

    Yours in thrift, Deb
