Dear Babs, WHen you had asked about laws concerning clothing, I had cloth on my mind, so I did not think of these 2:
(1) Boys & men are always to have trheir head covered. If they don't, they MUST cover their heads when saying blessings, such as the 2 blessings before most meals, & the Gracze After Meals. Married women also have to cover their heads (they use either wigs or scarves/turbans.).
(2) Women may not wear men's clothing. Modern Orthodox say that, by now, slacks are not men's alone. Personally, even though I am only Conservative, I wear slacks only when I am doing something extremely messy. On a near-daily basis, I wear a skirt & top.
Hope this helps. Yours in Him, Deb
