Dear All, Here are my resoutions:
1. Lose another 5 lbs. The medications I'm on make one GAIN weight -- 2-3 lbs annually. In contrast, I have managed to LOSE 4-5 lbs over the last 11 months, small change I know, but it's a step in the right direction.
2. Not buying books until I've read them -- through Ingter-Library-Loan if necessary.
3. Not letting my work on articles & my book cause me to get so worked-up that I have to leave the projects in the lurch. (Something similar occurred four years ago.)
4. So long as my doctor approves, wean myself away from needing aides. I have already let go of AM help. That is, I can now cook on the gas stove, wash up the dishes, & bathe unsupervised (I put my LifeLine very close to the tub (it's water-proof) so as not to tempt the Adversary.). All that I haven't dared to try is using a knife. I have a "mandoline" for cutting, though, so have a way of slicing safely. My doctor wants a Certified Nursing Assistant to fill my meds tray for me, so I would only need aid for a couple of hours a week ....
Isn't the L-rd magnificent in His gifts! Halleluah!
5. Lose another 0.5" from my waist. It is dangerous to be carrying 35" or more around the waist. Well, I'm down to 35.5 now -- just an inch left to be solidly under the limittion to be healthy.
