    New Years Resolutions

Since most of us procrastinate and just use the New Year to start new things... what are you planning on changing?

    • Get to know my Bible more and (same as CH/Michelle) be more consistent with daily prayers and devotions
    • Find my health (pain free days that is)
    • Stay focused on studying and not much time on this site. (The reload button needs a break).
    • Walk 3 days a week; ~ 1.38miles each time... no matter what the temperature (will do exception of rain) so I can rebuild my endurance.
    • Summer: ride bike more to appointments close by versus driving
    • Maintain my weight. (Or drop just another 10; losing 20 this summer was scary)
    • when I get accepted to SSI, start paying off "loan" to dad

I'm not disciplined enough for resolutions. They are just another layer of have-to-do's that I don't need. E

Mine is to get my will in order and to make this house and yard more what I want. Painting, gardening, reorganizing and maybe putting in a gas fireplace. If I'm going to stay here, I want to make it suit me.

    Re: New Years Resolutions

P.S. I should lose weight, get more exercise, save more money, etc., but I've tried that before. None of it worked. Wink

    Re: New Years Resolutions

I've become much stricter about holding myself to my own promises, so am going to take care in making   resolutions.  I will be increasing the time I spend in meditation, and am going to be replacing a substantial amount of the savings used on car purchase.

    Re: New Years Resolutions

I wouldn't exactly call mine resolutions, but here is what I'd like to accomplish in 2008; in no particular order:

~ keep track of our money; keeping checkbook balanced, sticking to a budget, digging out my old pricebook, etc.

~ limit my use of my credit cards; I use my Kohl's the most, but I never have a balance, I always pay it off when I get the bill.

~ lose at least 50lbs. by Dec. 31, 2008; eat healthier, exercise more, drink less pop and more water, get regular check ups, etc.

~ go room by room and declutter, de junk, and organize

~ keep all bills paid on time to avoid late fees and/or embarrassing disconnections (my mom called me on my cell phone 2 weeks ago asking why our phone had been disconnected. I had been so preoccupied with Christmas, that I had completely forgotten to pay the darn thing!)

~ add at least 15k to our savings account

~ look into opening a retirement account

~ open savings accounts for both kids
