use one print sweater to make mittens, poncho and beanie

    http://www.threadbanger.com/hollyjolly/episode/HJH_20071212

Totally hip neat website that has lots of crafts ! The two crafters creat mini videos showing how to do quickly do the crafts. About people making their own fashion by reusing items...fits right in here!  Haven't had a chance to look though the whole site . partial cut and paste from their header.

Threadbanger empowers you with the insider’s view—the true how-to. Don’t throw that old kahki shirt into some landfill. Refashionize it. We’ll show you how. We promise to follow this thread of the new pop culture wherever it leads. We’ll find the self-styled fashion pioneers with the gift of garb and the courage to reap what they sew. Maybe you’re one of them. Maybe you’d like to share YOUR fashion statement with the world. Threadbanger operators are standing by.

How cool! Thanks for sharing the site. Some of those things looks like what Mom would have done. I foresee a trip to the Salvation Army.

I haven't had a chance to look though the site further then the sweater poncho thing but it kills me that it is one of those 90's glitter sweaters :)  Those aren't normally recyclabe like wool ones!

Back when I was using dialup, I'd set a page like that to load and go do something else, like check the mail or pick up the living room, then come back and see what it was all about. I got a lot more house cleaning done during those days. Smile
