Ok, that just proves I drink far too much coffee, lol! I am indeed making my lists for topics to cover in the upcoming year. What challenge ideas would you like to see presented?

It's amazing where the mind goes on coffee, isn't it?

There you go with that coffee again. Smile

How about a savings challenge for the entire year? For some that might mean creating or beefing up an emergency fund, for others it might mean increasing a retirement fund, or others might want to save for something specific, like remodeling or another car or a fancy appliance.

    Pat,

I deserve cookies for creativity on that one, hrmph.

By the entire year, do you mean a monthly check in on one?

So go get yourself some cookies, but lay off the coffee! LOL

I"m not sure what I meant about the entire year. It would probably take more than a monthly check in to remind us, maybe weekly? What do you think?

     Pat,

That one sounds like a good idea. Since we track different expenses and how to cut back on them, it makes sense to promote making use of the savings from that excercise. Building up larger amounts needs motivation as well.

Agreed. Sometimes even transferring a five dollar bill into savings on a regular basis needs motivation, at least for me.

This is going to be my new years resolution!  I am going to stretch that penny, dime, dollar until it can't be stretched any further.  I am also setting a goal as to come up with at least 10 new ideas to save even more this year.

    That's a great idea!

Brandy, how about a challenge to incorporate a new frugal idea into our lives once a week or so?
