     Nancy Jo,

Purex is $3.50 here and All is .75 to $1.00 more than that usually.

Brandy,  So kind of you to help them out.

Well, someone has to. He has not had any call backs from his applications for jobs and the unemployment runs out in December I think.

     Tracy,

I won't be able to put this all together and get it to them until after Halloween. It has to wait until we are paid and have a little available cash.

    Kabin,

    That's a good idea. Thanks.

And for whoever mentioned the age of the kids, they are all girls aged 5, 4 and 6 months.

That is a lovely thing to do!   Maybe you can pick up some dollar store stuff for xmas for the girls since they are little, they are easy to shop for there.

If they need little girl clothes, I could send a box- we are awash in pink and purple around here.  Could also send a few toys, if needed.  I would mail to you, and you could give to them.

I would suggest some hand lotion if you have some you can spare. We're headed towards winter, and that is one thing that I need for my skin. It's also usually something I avoid buying until I have painfully dry skin when money is tight. Another suggestion would be dollar store asprin, bandaids, allergy sinus stuff, and maybe some children's cold medicine if you have some or can find a good deal.

Another thought, dish soap and sponges for the dishes. If they are new to eating at home more often, I am sure the dishes will surprise them.

Brandy, I think your basket sounds great.  I agree with Jasminzbox that Children's Tylenol or something along those lines could be very helpful.  And as someone pointed out, something for the little girls.  Even if you have a couple of coloring books or can print some coloring pages/activity pages and give them a "new" box of crayons, that's a lot for kids who might not have had a lot of extras for a while.

A long time ago I gave a friend who I'd worked with and who got laid off a gift certificate for a grocery store.  She cried when I did that and I felt both so good and so badly all at once for her.  You are a kind and generous person for helping out.

    Brandy,

I think this is a wonderful thing you are doing. I got my coupon wallet at the dollar store, (naturally). I never used baby wipes, just a wet washcloth, but baby wipes seem to be considered a necessity now. To each, her own. The dollar store has some name brand cleaners, as well, though they are usually in smaller packages. I know you are going to stretch that $20 to the max. Maybe you could get a group of friends to do the same thing.
