Tim Horton's: Electronic errors, electronic tools and humans

On the 11th (3 a.m.), we did a coffee run and snacks, of course, while pulling an all nighter at Kmart.  Unfortunately, the register at T.H. acted up and wouldn't give me a reciept.  Well the cashier ran my debit card again thinking that it hadn't recorded the transaction.  The register coughed up a reciept that time.

When I checked my account a few days later the automated teller informed me that the transaction had been covered twice.  It would have cost more to put a "stop" on the debit so I called Tim Horton's and asked for a refund instead.  The manager was very nice and said they would leave the refund at the drive thru for me.

I was concerned that they would give me a hard time but they were very nice!  It was only 2.94 but had I not caught it, there could have been terrible reprecussions...bounced checks...just thinking of this makes me queazey!!

An electronic error that could have made my life hell was avoided because I use the auto teller system to check my account activity and the manager resolved my issue within a one minute conversation.  Life is good!

    Mistakes happen....

I am not behind! I don't have to catch up! I just have to put on my shoes and shine when I smile my sink!!
