    Bartering

Would you barter for anything? If so, what would you do?

I used to clean my sister's house while I did my laundry when I first moved on my own (and didn't want to go to the laundry mat). She got a clean house and I got clean laundry.

But be sure to fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart; consider what great things he has done for you.

I trade things all of the time. I have a friend that's a vet. She takes care of any animal ills for my pets and I give free animal care when she goes out of town. Or my other friend that I take empty egg cartons to and she gives me free free range eggs. Those are the best. The yolks are such a rich color.

This is my husband's department more so than mine. I do trade things with Mom but I never consider that bartering.

    Re: Bartering

It has been a way of life for a long time.  My husband has a granite countertop company so we trade a lot: dental, hair salon, landscaping, as a member of a trade association: gymnastics, summer school, preschool, plumbing, repairs, dental braces etc.  Trade associations are not cheap, they charge a fee, everything is overpriced except for the things mentioned, it was something my husband and ex parteners got into and we still use from time to time.
