    Walmart--GREAT customer service

I returned 3 items to Walmart today.  I had the receipt.  Only one item still had tags/packaging.  The other two items had the tags/packaging removed.  They refunded the total of all 3 items, even though there was no store identifying tags on two of them.  I was sure I would have to take a store credit for the unmarked items but they didn't even question it.  Thank you for good customer service.

    woohoo for you! great news!

the clerk probably was familiar with the products you were returning. no biggie - the receipt is what they are interested in anyways.

I love Walmart- recently used their site to store option to order a pink little fridge for dd for her dorm, and a 1 gb pimk mp3 player for dd's 11th birthday- they deliver anything from the website, literally 1,000's of items that you don't see at the store, for free to your store.

I have never been hassled for a return, either.

    Re: Walmart--GREAT customer service

Another instance of GREAT customer service at Walmart!   I bought a new dish drainer and tray about 6 weeks ago.  After getting home I discovered it was supposed to have a silverware cup.  It didn't.

I went back there about 2 weeks later--no cups were available.  I talked to customer service and was told a new shipment of kitchenwares would be in "any day now".

A month had passed from the original purchase.  I went back to Walmart again--new cups were avaialable but they were all twisty tied to the dish drainers.

I took a dish drainer up to customer service with my origial receipt.  I explained the situation--the lady said she didn't need to see my receipt--she undid the packaging and gave me the silverware cup and a $1.00 store coupon for ANY purchase.  I wasn't disgruntled or anything.  Just happy to get a silverware cup but still got a $1.00 store coupon!

I have received the BEST customer service at my local Walmart every time there has been a problem.

I live in a very rural area, the Walmart is about 19 miles one way from my town.  I don't often go into the "big city" (in reality, a very small town, just a lot bigger than mine lol) and figured the passing of time would nix any chance I had of getting that silverware cup!

I have never had a problem with Walmart.  I have returned thing without receipts etc. Here no receipt means a walmart card to use there which I have no problem with. My daughter lost her Mr Bear (very very important to her) when she was about 2 there. We couldn't find it but they did and called us.

I used to fancy myself too snooty to shop at walmart but have grown to love "the evil empire" for thier great prices. It amazes me that I often find brand name stuff for so much cheaper there. I have always recieved pretty decent customer service, however I will admit that thier biggest downfall is the lack of checkers working the checkstands. You can spend more time waiting to check out than actually shopping at times. "Site to store" is wonderfull. I have ordered multiple items that way and never had a problem. I cannot stand over priced shipping fee's. Kudo's to Walmart for thier inovation.

I agree with you about great customer service. It makes a world of difference.

I shop at Harris Teeter for most of my groceries and one reason is the great customer service. I love their refund policy on meats, produce, seafood, and the deli. All I need is my receipt or the package wrapper and it's double your money back.

    Re: Walmart--GREAT customer service

I've also had great customer service whenever I've taken items back - even if I got them from a different Wal-Mart.  Nowadays I'm doing most of my grocery shopping elsewhere, but still get some general stuff there and for office supplies, the prices can't be beat.  I'll have to check into the "site-to-store" for printer ink, because lately I've not been finding the Canon printer ink cartridges I need for my older i550 printer.

I have the flexibility to shop during the weekday when it's less busy, but on the contrary to the above statement, it seems there are usually a number of checkers at the checkstands.  More than other stores anyway, where there are 1 or 2 for the whole store during the day.  However, after a couple times of checkout ladies seeming put-out that I had my own bags, I now use the self-checkout machines.  Always walk right up and check out immediately.

I have never understood why the checkers and baggers get miffed about bringing your own bags. This happens to me all the time. I finally gave up on the cloth at the chain stores and drag my paper bags back in for a second or third use and keep the cloth for the co-ops and farmers markets. I hate the dirty looks, I get otherwise, even when I offer to bag my own stuff. When I was a kid I worked as a grocery bagger and I HATED bagging groceries in plastic, the groceries always turn into a jumbled mess by the time you get them home. Grrr....
