How do you make homemade floor cleaners? Any recipes?

Any ideas, besides vinegar?

 I use a little liquid soap in a bucket of water with a few drops of essential oil added in.

I second the liquid soap in a bucket (or sink) of warm water. I also sometimes use a 1/4 cup of non-sudsy ammonia (lemon scented) to a sinkful of warm water.

I  sometimes use dish washing liquid in a bucket of water. It's cheap enough for two drops and it seems to do the job.

I ike that for the kitchen since it cuts grease and I sometimes find the floor around the stove and garbage can to need something that really cuts that.

What kind of bar soap do you use

We use Dove, Irish Spring and a melt and pour goat's milk bar. The goat's milk bars are the ones I used most often but we have run out. I decided to try a glycerine bar from the store for the hand soap and cleaning recently instead of Dove or Irish Spring. I can't say I am pleased with the results. 

One thing I didn't note earlier is that I always do a rinse mopping with clear water after mopping with the soap. This makes a difference.

I have a spray bottle of vinager mixed with water and just a half teaspoon of liquid soap.  I spray it on and mop it up... works great on vinyl and laminate!

 Oh good, I just ran out of Mr. Clean and I need to mop my upstairs bathroom still.  Now I know what to use instead of running out to the store to get more cleaner.
