Paying for Christmas: Dollar Stretcher Poll

Did you pay cash? Put it on a credit card? How did you - and will you - pay for Christmas?

I voted for option 2, but it was really a blend of option 1 and option 2. We put most of our gifts on the credit cards, but we've already paid them off.

I chose the second option, but actually the bills are already paid.

I voted the first choice....we paid for 90% with cash. And the credit cards that were used have already been paid off!! Yes Now to get back to building up our savings again!

I paid locally with cash, but ordered some things online that went on the credit card. I will pay it off this afternoon or as soon as I can get to it.

I chose option 2 because some of our purchases (mostly the things we bought online) went on the card, but actually the bills are already paid.  Interesting that no one so far has selected any of the later options (3 months to pay it off, 6 months, etc.).  I guess all of us Dollar Stretchers really put our money where our mouths are.

I am glad to say we paid cash for everything. Well, debit card, but it's all paid for.

In fact, we returned some of the not-quite-right gifts we received, and got about $100 back.

But...DH put his next semester of school's tuiton and books onto the credit card last month. Ugh, that has to come out of what precious little savings we have. We refuse to pay interest!

We too used either cash or credit card to be paid off this month.

All credit cards, have no idea when it'll get paid for, we knew that at the time so no big surprise there. Just didn't have any cash available for presents this year. I'd like to think some of our tax return can pay it down.
