Did You Know about The Home Depot Workshops for Women ?

Home Depot offers free workshops for women. If you sign up for their newsletter, you'll learn about them. I believe that you get a discount on supplies if you take a workshop.

There is a free workshop being offered on Jan. 14 on plumbing.

Yes, I'll take it so that I can learn more about plumbing even though I have a good plumber.

I was not aware of workshops specific to women and will check on that. When we lived in Texas we attended a workshop on laying tile. We did an amazing job replacing the tile around our bathtub because we'd had the class.

I went to one of the workshops on window screens. I found it to be a little dumbed down and really a way to sell particular products. I did learn about window screens, though. I think I'd rather go to a workshop that is more hands on and I can get my hands dirty while learning the more complicated stuff.

The tiling workshop we attended was hands-on. I did not feel any attempt at selling. Of course, that was one presenter in one of any stores.

this is a great idea ...I would love to know what they are talking about sometimes..  DH and boys are excellent at house repair and they always try to explain and like DH says she got the look of deer in headlights boys
