    I really messed up.....

Sometimes when you screw up, there is just nothing else to do but admit it and say you are sorry.  Yesterday was Vereran's Day.  Many of you even got the day off.  I watched the parade on TV and prayed for our troops.  But not once did it occur to me to thank the veterans and families on the DS.  To Toni B. and her husband and all of the countless number of veterans and their selfless husbands and wives whom read or contribute to the DS that I don't know.......from the bottom of my heart I want to say Thank You! for all that you have done, or continue to do to protect this great nation.  And "YES" we are still a great nation.

I appreciate your service.....past and present.

    Phyllis

It didn't occur to me either!  I am sure we are forgiven since they know we appreciated the efforts of all who are fighting for freedomBig Smile

I don't think we can ever appreciate enough what the members of our military have done for us. Thanks for the reminder we need to voice our appreciation more often.

My df is a walking history lesson - he served under Patton and met him several times.  Said he was a little guy, physically, but when he talked, everybody listened and was a brilliant man...Liz.

My thanks, too, to all the vets and their families for the sacrifices they have made/are making for us all.  We are grateful!

You all are so very kind to think of the military members. I'll pass along your kind words to DH. His retirement was approved today!!! So after June 1 of next year, we'll be "retirees." (Gee, that makes us sound so gray and aged...we are, but hearing it just confirms it all, LOL.)
