    December Angel Food

I noted the new December Angel Food menus. The signature box looks good: 2 lb NY strip steaks, 1.5 lb boneless pork roast (I am a bit leary on the quality-anyone ever get one of these?), BSCB fajita strips, ground beef, BSCB tenders (YUM), fish sticks, center cut ham, limas beans, green beans, 2 lb fr fries, 2 lb apples, flour tortillas, box milk, eggs, dessert. I'll order 2 of these.

Produce looks good: sweet potatoes, white potatoes, onions, cabbage, carrots, celery, lemons, oranges, grapefruit, mango, avocado, kiwi. I'll get at least 1.

There is also a holiday fruit special (seems a bit high, I have to compare local prices): graprfruit, navel oranges, tgangerines, Rome apples, golden delicious apples, red delicious, granny smiths, gala apples, anhou pears, Sunkist gem candies. That's available for $26.

The meat boxes aren't of interest to me, and the Holiday sausage and cheese box is very expensive, IMO.

    What are your thoughts?

I agree that the Holiday sausage and cheese box is very expensive, I will pass on that one too. This is my first year ordering from Angel Food. I just moved into an area where it is available and I am so grateful to have access to them, it is a wonderful program! With that being said, I can say that I am disappointed that there was a Thanksgiving holiday box (I ordered 2) but there is no Christmas Holiday box. Didn't I read that they used to do a Christmas box?

I too am checking out that fruit prices trying to decide if it is a value to me. I live in a warm climate we are lucky that there is usually something in season and we will be growing all year round. I may order the frozen Chicken breasts 2.10 a pound isn't a bad price.

I will most likely order one signature box I liked most of the items (Lima beans YUCK!!). I especially liked the fajita meat the kids eat that up like there was no tomorrow.

I really wish I knew there was no Christmas box, I would have ordered more of the Thanksgiving one. Oh well, we will get through.
