I'm having a quick cup of coffe and then I'm about to go crazy cleaning the house!  It's such a mess, if I don't get it picked up this morning, I will be very embarrassed as my mom and my aunt are going to come watch my girls while I work in DS class this afternoon.  So mad clean-up is about to happen!

This afternoon, need to pick up coach appreciation gifts and cards.  Will be reimbursed for the most part from DS soccer team so that's ok.  Need to work a bit today too and DS still hasn't finished his homework which is due today so I need to go get busy with it!  Thanks goodness for afternoon kindergarten, eh?

Will probably make risotto for dinner.  We get to go out tomorrow night for DH's birthday, yay!

pumpkin, can your dh help more in the cleaning?  I know it was a big shock to me how much housework there was after a baby!

He could, but that would mean he "noticed" the mess!!!  I've determined that I do what I can, when I can, and if he helps great.  He's disabled (not in a wheel chair, but somethings are physically impossible) so I take what I can get as far as his help.  I have thought of calling in a maid service, just to catch me up.

    Hi everyone,

I'm headed out here in a minute.  My boss gave me the afternoon off.  I brought a sandwich so I'll go ahead and eat it in the car while I run errands that I was going to take care of tomorrow.  I also plan to work on the stockings I'm making for my family.  They  talked me into one for the dogs so I found a huge bone image on the internet that I'm going to put on it.

My DS and his family are coming over for a cookout tomorrow and Sunday I'm doing some baking and laundry so my weekend is pretty well planned.

    Have a great one everybody.

Re: Friday November 6 How are you Stretching?

I worked my morning job then came home and fell asleep on the couch. Spent the rest of the morning talking with dh (we work different schedules most of the week so when we have the same time at home, we tend to sit and talk, talk, talk). I am also making a New Mexican enchilada casserole to take to DD2's tomorrow. We are going to take her out to lunch for her birthday and I thought I'd take something extra for later since we are keeping gifts inexpensive this year. The first civil service exam I took was for a typist position with the county and the typing test has been schedule for next saturday, so things are moving faster than I expected. (which makes me feel hopeful). Next week I have a pet sitting job which will bring in some extra $$, which helps a lot. We are hoping to be in a place where we can have the house fixed up to put on the market in a little over a year and we will NEVER have a house this big again, lol so I'm thinking that as we go through repairing and repainting, we might as well get rid of extra furniture, even if some of the rooms end up empty...since we don't need all the STUFF with just the 2 of us now. Even when the kids come for holidays, they don't need a separate sitting room or extra storage space or a formal dining room...I guess i'm just longing to downsize, and am planning ahead. :) have a great day. VNW - can't wait to you get your computer all situated and hope you had a blast for your birthday. big hugs. peace.

We decided to eat out since the kitchen was a complete mess and no meat was thawed and I'm still not 100%.  I feel so GREAT now!  We didn't eat any meat yesterday and the day before we only had a slice of bologna on a sandwich for each of us.  We ate in town so the cost was $25 including tip for all 3 of us.  I'm sure by tomorrow I'll have the energy needed to clean up the kitchen, do some grocery shopping, and cook dinner.
The whole point of turkey is to get to the pie.

Mailed cell phone bill. $6 out for breakfast for me & DD. Made deposit into savings. $4 out for lunch. Sandwiches for dinner. Striving to do better. I fell off the wagon late summer and am just now climbing back on. I've finished most of my Christmas shopping and Disney trip over 1/2 paid for. Still paying down debt, but need to kick it into overdrive and get back to what I was doing to make extra payments on debt. Good to be back with you all.

    welcome back whitney!

pumpkin I hear you! my dh does stuff mostly because he knows I like it!  plus it was a training process lol, teaching him how to do housework and basically if we didn't do a bit a day with kids it would be out of control fast.   the days of sat morning housework is out after kids.
