    Pat:
This was due to an update before the threads disappeared, which is a different creature. Some people had trouble with their passwords.

    Ahh ok. Thank you.

that explains why I had to sign in again.     someone called successatlast  spammed a bunch of threads. ugh I hate that!

We've had a lot of spammers lately... they're hard to keep up with sometimes.

That's tough with the transmission Tracy.  One more thing.  It never seems to stop!

We're doing ok here, holding steady for the most part.  Except that I have FINALLY sorted out all the medical bills, co-pays and insurance issues and have most of the final bills in hand.  I can pay cash for the smaller ones if I spread them over a couple of months (I have paid a few already, have about 10 bills that in the $35-$80 range).  But I have several larger ones, 1 is $1500, 1 is $1400 and then several that are $150-$350 range.  We have decided to charge these and then after we find a new tenant for our rental house (our current tenants are moving out in the beginning of December) we will pull some money from savings to pay extra for those charges (won't cover it all but at least jumpstart the repayment a little).  Right now, we need the cash in the event we don't find a tenant right away.

So not a great plan but it works, and we'll be charging again in 2010!

    Hi everyone,

DH and I sat down yesterday and discussed our debt.  I think he was shocked to hear the grand total...$116,000.00 including the mortgage.  However, good news is, if we can hold out for two years $35,000.00 of that will be paid off, which will free up over $1000.00 a month to snowball into other debts and then onto the mortgage.  I feel like there is a dim light at the end of the tunnel.  The only thing is DS is a 10th grader so about the time we start paying stuff off he'll start college.  It's always something isn't it?

YES!  So frustrating but it's good to realize that so we can prepare right?

Isn't that how it goes?  Today's mail broughtyet another medical bill, so I waved goodbye emotionally to the coming paycheck.

I think it's a great idea to give to a college fund for a Christmas present, & it makes sure the $$ isn't frittered away.

Mail brought 2 more medical bills; I am teaching 2 sections of a training class today to bring in extra $$ to pay one of them.
