    Looking for amigurumi knit patterns

I'd like to try making a batch of those small figures to tie onto Christmas packages, but almost all the patterns I can find are for crochet. I came across a knitted pattern for a turtle and a spider and something Lion Brand has a couple of patterns for a snowman (which really doesn't need a pattern) and a Santa Claus. Other than that, I can't seem to find any.

    Any ideas?

what about books from the library?    I thought it was more a crochet thing then knitting so maybe that is the problem.

maybe search for miniature patterns, small xmas patterns instead.

I haven't seen anything like that from the library. It really is a crochet thing, but there are a few knit patterns, so I thought I'd try to find some more.

I googled miniature knitting xmas patterns and lots of things came up.  This site seems to have alot of ideas.

Hi ... Here are a few sites with instructions for knitting items - some might be a bit big in size, but some are smaller, too ... the finger puppets and bunnies are just too cute! I do not knit or crohet, but most had free instructions that you can follow. Kim

I did a Google search of "amigurumi knit" and came up with a long list of sites. Maybe you can find something that way.  Edey

Thanks, everyone. Edey, I searched Google, too, but with a different term... can't remember what it was right now. You'd think it wouldn't make that much of a difference, but it did.

Has anyone else made amigurumi ... um, creatures? The crochet ones are really cute and I'm not sure the kntted ones will be as cute but I want to try.

Looks-wise I would prefer the knit because of the smoother texture, finer texture.  However working knit compared to crochet - crochet is faster, easier to work the shaping. I've never made one, though.  Edey

They say that when you crochet them, you use a smaller hook than you normally would so the fabric is tight. I think that would be hard to do, but maybe easier with knitting.
