Happiest of Birthdays to VNW! Let Aurora pamper you today! Today I work 2 jobs. It's also payday for dh and me - and I worked 4 extra hours this week so woo hoo there. I cleaned out the fridge in our basement/cellar, and unplugged it - my main goal was to save the cost of running it since we don't need it anymore, but realized it's in good shape and can be sold in the garage sale this summer, too. And since it is payday, I'll put two bill payments in the mail. Today, I plan to get back to taking my daily walk. Gotta get moving, can't just slug my way through the fall/winter...hugs to all.

It seems harvesting my pumpkin has given me a Repetitive Motion Injury in my right shoulder.  Hurts pretty bad, expecially when I cough.  Speaking of coughs... my cold has taken a turn... not for the better.

    Bah humbug.

My job interview went really really well yesterday.  It seems very promising.  The commute is an hour, but it would only be 3 days a week.  Our budget will allow me to work part-time at a certain pay and if I get this job my pay would be at least $1 over my needed amount.  I would really like to do this; it's a small office, lots of flexibility, good pay, nice people.  I'm saying prayers for G-d's will and also hoping this is it.

I will be on the couch today with lots of meds in me.

    Happy birthday, VNW.

Another day in Limbo here dh is trying very hard not to get discouraged or depressed about the way things are playing out with the whole work situation and everyone is praying that things will work out so he can return to work soon. I made dd#2 a new flannel bottom sheet to replace the one I made that was 9 inches too short then turned the old one into a night gown for her as well.

In a little while I'm going to start making some rhubarb bread I thawed the rhubarb out on Saturday but nexer got to making the bread so it's been in the fridge and needs to be used before it goes bad. Dh & I will put away the halloween decorations and add them to the storage shed hopelfully having enough room to add the ladder & ds#3's bike once things are arrainged neatly. This afternoon we meet with his psychologist taking the report(s?) for him to read over and see what can be done about it.

My attetite is really off and I have no idea what supper will be right now the thought of food knots my stomach more than it already is.

Happy Birthday VNW! If I lived near you, I'd take you in for a pedicure and manicure and get one, too! Cake

Sunshine, feel better and keep us posted on the job interview results. Sounds like a perfect schedule and job.

Nanagain, prayers to your family as you struggle with your DH job situation.

Today I work 1/2 a day. My plan for the afternoon (since it is so nice here this week) is to do a bit of yard work and walk the dog. Then the boys and I need to return library books and we can make that a trip. DH has a meeting tonight (with dinner provided) so will think of something kid-friendly for our dinner. I have brats in the freezer and some pasta wheels and velveeta. I could make some mac and cheese with brats. I have some apples and hope to do a crisp this afternoon as well. We'll see!

Received a $40 rebate for contact lenses I bought last month. That came quickly! Last year, it was 8 weeks before I got my check. So I will take that to the bank. I also need to take 2 things to the dry cleaners.

Had a meeting with my boss yesterday about some of the Court's budget issues. Happy to have a job. But I did tell my boss I didn't have enough paid leave for my entire maternity leave so I would be taking unpaid leave and that will help the personnel budget in a small way in 2010, at least in our dept. I'm legally entitled to 12 weeks off for family medical leave. I've been saving money for this (and I did get $1000 from when my mom passed away that I have super-secreted in savings) to pay for my unpaid leave. Right now I have about 4 weeks paid, 8 weeks unpaid, give or take a week since I have until February to accumulate more paid sick leave. And hoping no one gets sick in my house again!

Anyway, February seems like a long time away but I know it will come quickly. I'm nothing if not a planner and now, I'm a saver, too! LOL.

Happy Birthday VNW........ :) Enjoy your special day!

    Good Morning to all...

Just sitting at my desk trying to decide what to tackle first!  Meeting up with a good friend at Kona Grill for happy hour tonight and hopeing to have time to stop at New York & Company at the same mall - my sister wears a style of petite pants that fit great and with the loss of some weight my current pants look like they just may fall off :) so my hope is to find a pair on sale and keep my eyes "closed" to all other "things" ...ummm beautiful sweaters...ahh the temptations.

So not real stretchy today...but brought my breakfast and lunch to work :) every little bit helps.

Take care my friends and be kind to yourself...

    Happy Birthday VNWParty!!!

Best wishes Sunshine on your cold getting better and you getting the job!   I hope things work out fast for you guys Nanagain!  Left HugRight Hug

Same old things going on here.  didn't feel like doing much yesterday in the house so had moms group in the morning, sushi for lunch with ds and while he was in kindergarten I went shopping with my mom.  the iga specials and went to a drugstore that used to sell webkins but is clearing stock now so they are cheap. wanted to see if there was any new ones out.  so my mom got a couple for the kids for xmas and I got a couple.   leftovers for dinner and cleared up the big thomas track that dh build in the livingroom last night so I can vacuum today. cleaned out the dvd area and got a bunch for selling.

so this morning is definitely a cleaning day. turning out that is my thurs morning.  starting to get a new routine.  ds doesn't like being home in the morning but he will have to get used to it.  think I may go shoe shopping when he is in school. there is a sale on at marks workwearhouse for nice but comfy dress shoes.

I have my parents group meeting tonight about the swapmeet this weekend.  will go to the library then. dan browns new book on hold for me.  why is it all your books come in at once Big Smile have lots of reading to do.   dd has brownies tonight and its bring a friend night but no one is available so she may have to bring her brother.

    Hi everyone,

VNW, I hope you are having a wonderful birthday.

Very stretchy day for me, eating dinner out tonight but MIL is paying for it.  SIL is in town from Anchorage so she's taking the family out.  I brought my lunch to work, last of the soup I made on Sunday.

My office is quiet.  My boss is out of town until Monday.  Normally she and I have a cup of coffee in her office to go over our plans for the day and I really missed that this morning. She told me to take it easy while she's gone and I intend to do just that...lol.
