I cut of leaf of construction paper and when some comes in we write what we are thankful for then  we put them ong a huge tree we have for the wall  we enjoy reading the leaves I have 34 yeas of leaves  our tree is getting very very full

30. The freedom to speak out when I don't agree with what's going on in this country.

 1. Being alive when I should be dead. 2. Having a decent place to live. . Having my own bathroom, refrigerator, micro and thermostat. 4. Enough money to live on. 5.Being able to go outsde, walk around, go into stores and libaries, cars.'

6. A few friends. 7. The degree of good health I have. 8. Decent medical care. 9. My cats. 10. My garden. 11. Nature - sky, wind, rain, earth, all living creatures. 12.Enough food and clothing. 13. Having some transportation. 14.Decent landlord. 

15. The possibility of peace in the world where there is now war. 16. Possibility of universal healthcare. 17. Ability to write, read, hear, see, walk, use my hands. 18. That we are not living under the circumstances prevalent in so many other countries. 19. My luxuries - magazines, ice cream.

20 Any kindness in the world. 21. Hope that impoverished, dictatorial countries will improve. 22. The people here on this board. How Nature works to maintain an ecological balance which is such a wonder. 23. The helping agencies that give us aid when we need it. 24. Any contributions I can make to others. 25. Having no major, crippling disease. 

26. The wisdom of others from which I can learn. 27. The New York Times. 28. Chocolate milkshakes, animal crackers, pretzels and peanut butter. 29. Having a computer. 30. Being able to connect with other people.

Except for #1 the rest are in no particular order.....My family has been through a lot over the past year, loss of jobs, fire that took our home, loss of my mother in law, a 1400 mile move but we have gotten through it all by clinging to our faith and each other. We are truly thankful for it all....

1. God

2. 2 wonderful children 

3.a loving husband

4. My Mom who is still healthy and active part of our lives

5. Brothers even the ones that don't live close by

6. a home, we lost our house in a fire last year. We have been blessed with finding a new home closer to family and are truly happy.

7. Good Health (I have buried way to many friends before their time!)

8. Clothes on our backs. They are not designer but they do the trick and that is all that matters

9. computer so I can post this and connect with others

10. Food enough to keep us healthy and full and enough to be generous to others

11. vehicles to get around in

12. wonderful in laws. I have truly been blessed to have married into a wonderful family. 

13. my girl friends....they are like no other. I don't know how I would have gotten through life without them!

14. My Country and freedoms that give me the right to post this list. 

15. Music of all kinds especially that made by my children

16.  History, it helps to give perspective to the present and a compass for the future

17. the ability to roll with the "punches" some days are a test, everyday is a gift

18. Sunny Days...I see more of them now. 

19. a pool to cool off on the hot days. 

20. heirlooms they remind of us what those before us had to endure to give us the life we have today.

22. Good books, especially those that teach either the heart or the mind.

Right now at the top of my list I'm thankful that I was able to kill the Copperhead snake in my house and that it did not bite either Aurora or me. Aurora would not be alive today if she'd been bitten by the snake.

Aurora was my 2006 birthday present from Mom so she is very special to me.

I'm thankful for my team who help me .

I'm thankful that I'll be able to continue my search for a church. I am hoping that I'll make a connection soon.
