I lived in a 27ft. travel trailer for 3 years.  First off, you will learn what you HAVE to have in life.  There is very little storage space.  Don't try to store appliances in storage or garages: they will be useless after a coupla years.  I learned that the hard way.  Just sell 'em.  Secondly, a lot of campgrounds have a monthly rental rate.  I stayed at one park that had a separate section for the 'full-timers' and the lots were bigger than the front transient lots.  This list could go on and on.  I really loved living in my RV and knowing how much money I was saving.  I moved it close to wherever I was working at the time.  I did get some flack from a KOA campground because they did not want to rent to a single female bartender.  I changed their minds after a month!  They were under the perception that female single bartenders party loud all night.  No, we are working serving the loud all-night party-ers.  You can almost always ask for help with set-up in the park.  The other full-timers are usually the nicest people!  I also enjoyed the park's bathroom facilities as the showers generally had more water pressure than my travel trailer.  I did not own a tv for the first year, then owned a tv with the dial knob (it was a tip from one of my bar customers!) and a vcr.  I rarely watched rental movies. You'll be amazed at the other stuff you can get done without the tv on.

My advice is don't let anyone talk you out of it.  Try it!  It is eye-opening and when you have to clean your "entire house", there's only about 10 square feet to mop!

One really good resource I forgot to mention in my previous post is Life on Wheels seminars.  As far as I know, these are still being held annually at several locations throughout the country.  They're sponsored by, I believe, the University of Idaho; run for multiple days and cover every aspect (& I do mean every aspect) of RV living.  They have workshops for beginners on electrical systems, plumbing systems.  Info on solar and battery maintenance.  Safety issues.  Travel, of course, and just about anything else you can think of.  My husband and I attended about 3 of these, in Pennsylvania, before we became RVing fulltimers.  Well worth the money.  If you can, try to schedule your vacation time to attend at least one.  Last time we attended the conferences, they were being held in Bowling Green KY; eastern Pennsylvania; northern Idaho; and a forth location (maybe Des Moines).
